Public Health RN

Location: Poplar, MT
Start: 6/01/2025 or ASAP
Assignment Length: 6 months - 1 year. 
Shift: M-F 8-4:30 clinic, weekends may occasionally be required. Flexible scheduling may become available. 
Pay Package: $2,800/week including weekly per diem for travelers

Currently looking for experienced Public Health Registered Nurses (RN) to fill immediate contract opening at a Tribal Health Department in Poplar and Wolf Point, Montana. Interested candidates should have 1-year work experience in a public health setting. Experience with STI testing, TB testing, and community engagement preferred. 

RNs must be willing to work on the mobile unit and do home visits. 

Responsibilities of the Travel Public Health Registered Nurse (RN)

• Provide immediate medical care and emotional support to patients who are suffering from an injury or illness

• Help assist patients in their recovery process to regain their health.

• Educate patients about the injury or illness they received

• Help patients with treatment plans

• Provide patients with answers to any questions they may have.

• Record their patient’s progress, deliver and administer medicine

• Collaborate with doctors and RN’s to optimize patient care.

Requirements of the Travel Public Health Registered Nurse (RN)

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in any of the 50 states
• BLS required, ACLS/PALS preferred
• 3 years RN experience
• 1-year of Public Health work experience 
• Willingness to travel to remote healthcare facilities
• Willingness to undergo a background check
