Job Description: Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Medication Technician (Med Tech)
Location: Ft. Peck Tribal Health Department, Poplar, MT
Contract: Wesley Medical Staffing
Start: 4/07/2025 or ASAP
Assignment Length: 6 months - 1 year
Shift: M-F 8-4:30 clinic, weekends may occasionally be required. Home Visits may be required.
Description: Wesley Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification for a travel contract position at the Ft. Peck Tribal Health Department in Poplar, Montana. This position will be stationed at the Adult Corrections Center. This role combines traditional CNA duties with medication administration responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs).
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and documented, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- Document medication administration accurately and timely.
- Observe patients for medication side effects and report to the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care, including medication management.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification.
- BLS
- 1 year experience
- Driver's license and personal vehicle
- Experience with medication administration.
- Willingness to travel to Poplar, MT.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
